We take care to honor our relationship to the land by never using anything harmful and by minimizing our tillage and disturbance of the soil. We rotate the fields in production and let them rest with cover crops and soil amendments.

The fields receive tons of chicken and cow manure, fish and seaweed emulsion, mulch, organic materials via cover crops, ritual and celebratory energy!

We grow all of our own seedlings. Our seeds are organic when possible and/or sourced from small, thoughtful companies such as Strictly Medicinals or Fedco. If not seeded directly, we use soil mix from local soil badasses, Dirtcraft Organics. We transplant using a biodegradable plastic made from corn.

We are also trying to transition many of our fields to a no-till system. We simply roll over the cover crop to tamp it down and after it starts to decompose we transplant the seedlings to their new home.

There is a lot of love that goes into our farm and all of our crops.
