Cnicus benedictus

This is one I had to grow as a thank you to the healing and love this plant showed me after my first baby was born. I had a hard time producing enough milk and felt so stressed and shattered after his intense birth. I kept coming across this herb, that I had never used and that wasn't included in my herbal training, so I didn't really know anything about it other than that it was a thistle. 

It just kept showing up - in a galactagogue formula (helper for the flow of breast milk) I found and as a flower essence for PPD/PPA. I ended up just getting some mass market dried herb and although it didn't feel or smell very powerful, it really helped me out. I felt an easy calm + stabilizing energy take over and I began to produce more milk, the exact signature of what I needed most. 

I first sold this as the whole leaf + flower, but we have recently had it milled and it's so beautiful, fluffy + easy to work with. Hard to find on the herb market, so let us know if you want to place a larger wholesale order. I absolutely love growing this magical, ancient being. It loves the hot dry sun, like it's native Mediterranean home.
