Urtica dioica. Harvested at their peak, before going to seed.
Nettles, Urtica dioica were a "gateway herb" for me. Once I discovered their uber- nourishing, vibrant and restorative ways, I was a goner on the herbal path. As an herb of Mars this seems fitting!
My favorite way to prepare them is to fill a mason jar less than half full of the herb, then pour boiling water over and let sit for 20 min up to 4 hours, then strain and get ready for bliss.
They are calming and nourishing to the nervous system and filled with all the vitamins and minerals you can think of. And they have been scientifically proven to reduce inflammation!
